Addressing The Subconscious Mind on the Eat Green Make Green Podcast

In this episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, I sit down with the amazing Avinoam Lerner.

Avinoam is a renowned mind-body interventionist specializing in cancer, trauma, and addiction recovery.

We talk about many important topics. The first was how seeing a grieving woman as a child shaped his life path. From there, we explored why most western medicine approaches don’t address who the person is at their core. Avinoam highlighted the notion that childhood experiences shape the narratives we tell ourselves and explained how our subconscious mind impacts our health and wellness.

Why does Meditation Suck?

An interesting point Avinoam has made about meditation is that “it sucks,” and I was curious to hear more about it. We further discussed why he uses hypnotherapy to access and reprogram the subconscious mind. Avinoam explained why we must transcend the Newtonian and mechanistic view of illness and why there is no one-size-fits-all for healing.

Avinoam’s unique approach to healing illnesses such as cancer, and life’s traumas, is intended to let people spend less time in therapy and more time living their lives.

How we go through each day is a choice. Recognizing our dominant thoughts is a great place to start healing. Get the notebooks out; this one is powerful!
