Our ability to feel safe and secure impacts our health and recovery. Therefore, it is essential to our healing and recovery that we are able to tell other people when they are acting in a way that is unacceptable or uncomfortable to us.

Lesson 2: Inner Parts Meditation
How can Inner Parts Meditation can help us heal?
Parts work is built on the idea that the self is made up of different parts that can conflict or support one another. Inner Parts practices aim to help us resolve inner conflicts that prevent us from healing and feeling whole.
Inner Parts work recognizes each person as an ecosystem, with a core self at the center and a multitude of parts surrounding it.
The underlying concept of the inner parts work is that our identity is made of several parts living within us that fulfill both healthy and unhealthy roles. Think of your mind as an orchestra made of different musical instruments. In response to significant life events or trauma that impacted our sense of identity, healthy and beneficial parts of ourselves start acting in unbeneficial ways, hindering our ability to heal and recover.
The good news is that these internal parts are not static and can change with time and work. The goal of this work is to help you identify those parts that are hindering your healing and recovery so they can be restored to their healthy, positive, and supportive role.

Lesson 3: Active Light
The Active Light meditation is a simple method of transforming your energy and transforming your experience.
For a compounding effect, it is best done at least once a day: in the morning just before getting out of bed or in the evening just before going to sleep. Following the guided process can help you trade negative emotions into a calming presence.
The meditation can be done with or without background music.
