NOT Talk Therapy!
Optimal sexual health includes physical (libido, pleasure) and emotional aspects (confidence, intimacy). Physiology can affect both the desire for sex and the ability to have sex, but so can your emotional health, which plays an important role.
To achieve optimal sexual health, we must look beyond conventional therapies and medical solutions. They mainly offer temporary management strategies or invasive mechanical solutions which negatively alter your quality of life. Instead, we can look into the realm of the mind, specifically the realm of the subconscious mind, the body’s operating system.
Conventional treatments of sexual dysfunction mainly offer people coping skills and strategies to manage their struggle, not resolve its root cause. Some of these skills and strategies include:
- Counseling to help manage stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns
- Medications (pills etc.)
- Medicines for low libido / testosterone / hormones
Medical solutions and traditional counseling (talk therapy) do not address the subconscious mind. As such, they fail to address the root of your struggle i.e. the underlying motivation fueling your challenge.
